What employee records are for
Employee records represent the people in your company. They are used when assigning project managers and site managers to projects, tracking timesheets, and associating work with individuals.
Employee records are separate from user accounts. An employee record is a person in your organisation; a user account is a login for Project Commander. Not every employee needs a user account, and not every user needs an employee record — though they often overlap.
Viewing employees
Navigate to Settings > Data > Employees. The table shows all active employees with their first name, last name, email, and whether they are flagged as a project manager or site manager.
Filter by Status, Project Manager (Yes/No), or Site Manager (Yes/No) to narrow the list. Enable Show Archived in the view options to see archived employees.
Creating an employee

Click Create Employee in the top-right corner.

Flagging an employee as a project manager or site manager does not grant them any additional system permissions. It makes them available in the project manager and site manager dropdowns when setting up projects.
Editing an employee
Click into any editable cell in the table to update details inline. Changes save automatically.
Importing employees from CSV
Click CSV Import to bulk-add employees from a spreadsheet. Download the template, fill in your data, and upload.
Archiving and restoring employees
Click Archive on an employee's row to remove them from active lists and assignment dropdowns. To restore, enable Show Archived and click Unarchive.
