What asset categories are for
Asset categories classify the equipment and assets your company tracks — for example, "Power Tools", "Vehicles", "Safety Equipment", or "Site Welfare". When you add an asset to the system, you assign it a category. Categories can also be nested to create a hierarchy — for example, "Vehicles > Vans" or "Power Tools > Drills".
Viewing asset categories
Navigate to Settings > Data > Asset Categories. The table lists all categories with their name and status. Use the Status filter to switch between active and archived categories.
Creating an asset category

Click Create Asset Category in the top-right corner.

Enter a Name for the category.

Click Create to save.
Archiving and restoring
Click Archive on a row to hide the category from active lists. Enable Show Archived and click Unarchive to restore.
