What these settings control
The Work Package settings page defines the default working hours and working days used when creating Work Packages and scheduling allocations. These defaults apply across all projects unless overridden at the project level.
Configuring working hours
Navigate to Settings > Labour > Work Packages.
In the Working Hours card:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Default Start Time | The time the working day begins — for example, 07:30 |
| Default End Time | The time the working day ends — for example, 16:30 |
| Default Allocation Hours | The default number of hours allocated per operative per day (minimum 0, in 0.5-hour increments) |
Configuring working days
In the Working Days card, tick the days of the week that are working days for your company. Unticked days are treated as non-working days in schedules and Gantt views.
A Hide Weekends by Default toggle is also available. When enabled, Saturday and Sunday columns are hidden in Work Package views by default, keeping the display focused on working days.
Saving
Click Save Settings to apply your changes. The new defaults take effect on Work Packages created from that point forward.
Most UK construction sites work Monday to Friday. If you occasionally work Saturdays, leave it unticked here and enable it on specific Work Packages where needed.
