What asset statuses are for
Asset statuses track where each piece of equipment is in its lifecycle. Every asset is assigned a status that indicates whether it is available, in use, awaiting action, or out of service.
Status types
Each status belongs to one of five types:
| Type | What it means |
|---|---|
| Deployable | Available and ready to be sent to a site |
| Deployed | Currently in use on a project or site |
| Pending | Awaiting deployment, repair, or a decision |
| Undeployable | Out of service — broken, under repair, or otherwise unavailable |
| Archived | Retired from active use |
Some statuses are system-defined and cannot be deleted. You can create additional custom statuses within any type to match your company's workflow.
