Overview
You can turn off the labour or material element for individual sections using the right-click context menu. This excludes those costs from the section's calculation and the summary table.
This is different from the job-level Supply Only or Install Only setting on the job header, which applies to the entire job. The section-level toggles give you finer control — for example, you might supply materials for most sections but exclude materials on a section where the client is providing their own cable.
Turning off materials for a section
- 1
Right-click the section you want to modify to bring up the context menu.
- 2
Hover over the Materials element in the context menu.
- 3
Select Off to turn materials off for that section.
An icon appears on the section indicating that materials have been turned off. The material costs are excluded from the section's calculation and the summary table.
Turning off labour for a section
The process is the same as for materials:
- 1
Right-click the section to bring up the context menu.
- 2
Hover over the Labour element in the context menu.
- 3
Select Off to turn labour off for that section.
An icon appears on the section indicating that labour has been turned off.
Turning elements back on
- 1
Right-click the section where you previously turned off an element.
- 2
Hover over the element you want to restore (e.g. Materials or Labour).
- 3
Select On to turn the element back on.
The icon disappears and the costs are included in the calculation and summary table again.
When an element is turned off, those costs are excluded from the calculation and summary table. Make sure this is intentional before finalising your estimate.
