Overview
The examine grid sits on the right side of the takeoff screen and displays all take-off lines for the currently selected section. Several aspects of the grid can be customised to suit the way you work — column order, sort direction, column visibility, and line position.
Reordering columns
You can rearrange the column headings to put the information you use most often closer together.
- 1
Left-click and hold the column heading you want to move.
- 2
Drag your mouse left or right to the desired position.
- 3
Release the mouse button. The column snaps into its new position.
Sorting take-off lines
Click any column heading to sort the take-off lines by that column in ascending order. Click the same heading again to switch to descending order. This is useful for quickly grouping similar items or finding the largest quantities in a section.
Hiding and showing columns
If there are columns you do not need to see, you can hide them to reduce clutter.
- 1
Right-click anywhere on the examine grid and select Customise Columns.
- 2
A new window appears listing every available column with a tick box beside each one.
- 3
Untick any columns you no longer wish to see, or tick columns you want to restore.
- 4
Press Confirm to save your changes.
Your column visibility settings are saved and will persist the next time you open the software.
Moving take-off lines within a section
You can manually reposition take-off lines if the default order does not match the sequence you need.
- 1
Select the take-off lines you want to move by clicking the far-left checkbox on each line. See Selecting Take-off Lines for the full range of selection methods.
- 2
Use the up and down arrow buttons at the bottom of the examine grid to move the selected lines into position.
If you need to reorder a large number of lines, consider sorting by the relevant column first and then fine-tuning with the arrow buttons.
