Opening a drawing
Counting happens in the takeoff workspace, and the way in is Submit on the project page.

Tick the drawing you want to open, by its checkbox or by clicking its card.

Click Submit in the project header. It is greyed out until something is ticked.
A loading overlay covers the page and the workspace opens with the drawing on the canvas, the marker sidebar on the left and the toolbar across the top. See A tour of the workspace.
Which drawing opens first
You can tick several drawings before pressing Submit, but only one opens. ZeroCount picks:
- The drawing you last had open in this project, if it is still ticked and still exists.
- Otherwise, the topmost ticked drawing in category order.
The rest of the selection is kept for the file switcher, so switching to them is one click away. The remembered drawing is stored in your browser for each project, which is why a project you return to often opens straight onto the sheet you were working on. It is per browser and per device, and colleagues each have their own.
A newly uploaded drawing is ticked automatically, so upload and Submit takes you straight onto the new sheet.
Switching drawings from inside the workspace
You do not need to return to the project page to change sheet. Three routes:
The breadcrumb
Click the drawing name at the end of the breadcrumb, marked with . The Select Drawing panel slides out over the sidebar, listing every category with its drawings under collapsible headers. Click a drawing to open it. The panel also lets you drag drawings into a new order, upload more into any category (Add more files), and download or delete a drawing from its row menu.
Change Drawing in the Actions menu
Click Actions in the toolbar and choose Change Drawing . It opens the same Select Drawing panel.
File tabs in Review mode
Widen the sidebar with the Expand sidebar toggle and the sidebar becomes a full-width panel with a browser-style tab for every drawing in the project, followed by a bold Total tab. The active drawing's tab carries a small dot; a second dot shows when a colleague is on that drawing. Click any tab to switch, and hover it for the full filename. See Takeoff and Review modes.
Leaving a drawing
Clicking Projects or the project name in the breadcrumb, or the Ensign ZeroCount strip at the top of the sidebar, takes you out of the workspace. If you have changes that have not yet reached the server, a Leaving Takeoff dialog asks Are you sure you want to leave? with Cancel and Leave. Wait a moment and try again if you want the changes kept.
Archived projects
An archived project can be opened to look at its drawing list, but its drawings cannot be opened. Submit shows the toast This project is archived. Recover it from Actions before opening files. and a direct link to a drawing is blocked the same way. Choose Actions → Recover on the project page first. See Archiving and recovering a project.
Common issues
Submit shows "No File Selected"
Nothing is ticked. Click a card or its checkbox and try again.
Submit shows "Upload in progress"
One of the ticked drawings is still uploading. Untick it, or wait for its Uploading pill to clear.
The wrong drawing opened
The last drawing you worked on in this project takes priority over the rest of the selection. Untick it before pressing Submit, or switch from the breadcrumb once inside.
