What the project dashboard shows
When you open a project, the first screen is the project dashboard. It gives you a financial overview of the project through draggable budget tiles and interactive charts.
Project header
The header bar at the top of every project page shows:
- Project name and number
- Status button — click to change the project status. The button is colour-coded to match the current status. When a project is archived, the status button is disabled.
- Archive Project — move the project to the archive
- Update Project — open the edit form to change project details
- Copy Project ID — copy the project's unique identifier to your clipboard
Budget tiles
The main body of the dashboard displays a grid of budget tiles — each showing a key financial metric.

Customising tiles
- Drag and drop any tile to reorder the grid.
- Hide a tile by hovering over it and clicking the eye icon.
- Click Customise to open the Edit Overview Display dialog, where you can toggle visibility and reorder all tiles and charts from one place. Use Show All or Show None for quick adjustments.
Your layout preferences are saved per user and persist between sessions.
Analytics charts
Below the tiles, a grid of charts visualises the project's financial position.
| Chart | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Project Sales Breakdown | Breakdown of project sales value |
| Original vs Projected Sell | Comparison of original and projected sell values |
| Invoiced vs Received | Invoiced amounts vs received payments |
| Budget vs Cost | Budget compared to actual costs |
| Chargeable vs Non-Chargeable Variations | Variation values split by chargeability |
| Ordered vs Delivered vs Invoiced | Procurement pipeline — ordered, delivered, and invoiced values |
| Value vs Claimed | Project value compared to amounts claimed |
| Projected Project Summary | Overall projected financial summary |
| Application vs Payment Notices | Applications compared to Payment Notices |
Charts can be reordered and shown or hidden using the same Edit Overview Display dialog as the tiles.
If all charts or tiles are hidden, an alert appears with instructions to right-click and select Show Hidden Analytics to restore them.
