When the order matters
File order inside a service controls:
- The sequence of sheets in the Excel export — each file becomes one worksheet, in the same order as in the panel.
- The order files appear in the file-selection sheet when you click the breadcrumb's filename dropdown.
- The order files are processed in when you tick several and click Submit.
It does not affect any of the detection or analysis logic — re-ordering is purely a presentation choice.
How to reorder
- 1
In the Project View, expand the service that holds the files you want to reorder.
- 2
Click and hold on a file card.
- 3
Drag it up or down. The other cards in the service animate aside to show where the file will land.
- 4
Release at the position you want. The new order is saved automatically — no Save button to press.
If your project follows a natural left-to-right / floor-by-floor reading order, set the file order to match it — the resulting Excel workbook reads top-to-bottom in the same order someone would walk the building.
Dragging across services
Dragging a file out of its service and onto another service's drop area moves the file rather than reordering it. The file is then placed at the bottom of the target service. See Moving files between services for the cross-service flow.
Order on initial upload
New uploads always append to the bottom of their service. There's no auto-sort by name, date, or any other property — every file keeps the position you put it in.
