What Work Packages are
Work packages break project work into manageable units. Each package has a description, dates, status, and can be assigned to operatives. Work packages support four different views for different planning styles.
View modes
Switch between views using the layout toggle in the top-right corner. Your preference is saved in your browser.

Gantt view
The Gantt chart displays Work Packages as bars on a timeline. You can:
- Click a task bar to navigate to its detail page
- Drag task bars to reschedule
- View task dependencies (links between packages)
- Create new Work Packages by clicking on a date
Kanban view
The Kanban board organises Work Packages into columns by status. Manage which columns are visible using the Manage Columns settings button. A search bar lets you find packages quickly.
Creating a Work Package
Click Create Work Package and fill in the details — description, dates, status, and any assignments.
Bulk creation
When a project is selected, click Bulk Create to create multiple Work Packages from a template in one step.
CSV import
Click CSV Import to upload Work Packages from a spreadsheet. Download the template first to see the expected format.
Saved views
Click the Saved Views dropdown to save or load a combination of filters and layout settings. This lets you quickly switch between different views of your work — for example, "My Packages This Week" or "Overdue Items".
Filtering
Filter by Project (when viewing company-wide) and Status. The table view supports additional column-level filtering.
Bulk actions
In table view, select multiple Work Packages to:
- Delete selected packages
- Duplicate selected packages
- Download package data
