What Credit Notes are
A Credit Note (CN) records a credit received from a supplier — for example, for returned goods, pricing corrections, or agreed discounts. Credit Notes reduce the amount owed to the supplier.
Viewing Credit Notes
Open a project and click Credit Notes in the sidebar under Procurement. The table shows all Credit Notes with their number, reference, supplier, status, and values.
Creating a Credit Note
- 1
Click Create Credit Note in the top-right corner.
- 2
Fill in the Credit Note details — supplier, reference, and any relevant line items.
- 3
Click Create. You are taken to the Credit Note detail page.
Managing Credit Note items
On the detail page, the items table shows all line items on the Credit Note. A reference badge in the header shows the Credit Note's reference number.
Syncing to accounting software
If your company has connected Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks, click the sync button in the header to push the Credit Note to your accounting system. The sync checks that both the Credit Note and the supplier have valid provider IDs before proceeding.
If the sync button is disabled, check that the supplier record has a matching provider ID set up for your connected accounting platform.
