Three menus, three jobs
Individual markers have their own controls, separate from the group row in the sidebar. There are three of them and each answers a different question:
- The action menu floats beside a marker you have selected, for restyling, re-filing or deleting it.
- The overlap picker appears when you click a spot where markers are stacked, so you can reach the one underneath.
- The thumbnail right-click menu works on a detection card in the sidebar, and carries the re-imaging and redetection tools.
The floating action menu
Select a single marker on the drawing in Takeoff mode and a short vertical strip of icon buttons appears next to it — to its right where there is room, otherwise to its left, below or above. It hides for the whole of any drag, resize or pan and reappears when you release.
On a Detection marker:

The menu is not shown in Review mode, on annotation markers, or on markers dimmed by Mask view. Closing the settings popover by clicking away also clears the selection.
Merge into group
The Merge into group popover is headed Merge into group and lists every other Detection group on the drawing, newest first, each with its label and a small template thumbnail. Below them sits a New group row. Pick a group to move this single marker into it, or New group to give it a group of its own — useful when one detection turns out to be a different device from the rest of its group.
The overlap picker
Busy drawings stack markers on top of each other: a Detection and a Count marker on the same fitting, a Linear run passing straight through a Count dot, two Detection groups that both claimed the same symbol. A plain click on that spot would only ever reach the top one.
Instead, clicking where two or more markers overlap opens a picker headed Select Marker (N overlapping). Each row shows:
- the marker's colour as a swatch, with its hex code on hover;
- its type icon — Detection , Count , Linear , Area or Zone , Text , Arrow , AoI ;
- the group label followed by the marker's own name — the match score for a detection, or Linear 3, Area 2, Unit 7 and so on;
- its position in the stack, as 2 of 4.
Hover a row and that marker's outline thickens on the drawing so you can tell which is which. Click the row to bring that marker to the front and select it. Press ESC or click away to close without changing anything.
Zones and AoIs are listed too, unless they are currently hidden. The picker does not open while a takeoff tool is armed, or when the spot you clicked already holds the selected marker.
The thumbnail right-click menu
Right-click a detection card in a group's sidebar grid for the tools that work on the picture rather than the marker.

Reach for Reimage Detection(s) after you have moved or resized a box, so the thumbnail matches what the marker now covers. While it runs, a Reimaging... chip covers the group's grid.
Redetect with this image is the one to use when a group has found most copies of a symbol but the drawing carries a slightly different version elsewhere — pick the clearest instance you have and search again from it. If the detection has no picture, a toast reads Cannot redetect — "This detection has no thumbnail image to use as a template." If the search finds nothing new, a toast reads No additional detections found.
Focus, Reimage Detection(s) and Redetect with this image only appear in Takeoff mode. In Review mode the menu is trimmed to Merge Into and Delete Detection(s).
Right-clicking Linear, Area, Count and Annotation rows
The child rows under those groups have their own short menu: Focus , Duplicate and Delete . Annotation rows add Set Image on a Custom Image marker and Text Size on a text marker. The same duplicate and delete icons appear on the right of the row when you hover it.
